How can we help?
Free vs Pro Overview
The free ForeBranch plugin publishes your whole tree with no limits on trees or people. ForeBranch Pro adds media, maps, charts, reports, biographies, and visitor tools on top.
How the two fit together
- ForeBranch is free from wordpress.org/plugins/forebranch.
- ForeBranch Pro is an add-on. It requires the free ForeBranch plugin to stay installed and active.
- Upgrading keeps all your trees and data. See Upgrading to ForeBranch Pro.

Which is right for me?
- Choose free if you want to publish your tree’s people, families, surnames, sources, and places, with privacy protection, at no cost.
- Choose Pro if you want to show photos and documents, put your places on maps, offer charts and reports, write biographies, and let relatives comment and send corrections.
You can start with free and add Pro later without re-importing.
